Agreement and permitted use
By using BookClue or bookclue.com, you agree to these terms and any applicable marketplace license terms. BookClue is independently developed. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to use the app lawfully. The app’s original software, interface and branding remain the property of their owners. Do not distribute, modify, sell or reverse engineer them except where law or a component’s license permits it. Stop using the service if you do not agree.
Books you import
BookClue is a reader, not a source of books. It does not supply, sell, host, recommend or link to EPUB books or a catalog. Obtain your files independently and import only material you are entitled to use. You retain your rights in imported content and are responsible for lawful use. The current import flow accepts up to five EPUBs per batch, subject to available library slots; not every EPUB file is guaranteed to be compatible.
Reading and translation
The app offers EPUB reading, saved progress, appearance settings and vocabulary assistance. Translation assistance currently supports English source text and depends on your device, selected language and system resources. Downloading language resources requires internet access; supported translation can work offline once resources are installed. The current release does not impose a daily translation quota. Successfully translated words are saved automatically. Translations and speech are automated reading aids and may be wrong or unavailable; they are not professional advice.
Advertising
The app includes advertising subject to consent checks and applicable system permissions. Ads may appear in vocabulary lists. At each completed hour of accumulated active reading, the app may attempt an interstitial at a suitable page transition. If it is not ready or unavailable, the checkpoint is skipped without blocking reading or guaranteeing a later replacement. The ad provider controls creative length and close/skip controls. Availability is not guaranteed.
Library capacity and rewards
The current library starts with five active-book slots. An optional completed rewarded ad can add two slots, with up to three capacity rewards per local day and fifteen active-book slots in total. A reward is granted only after provider confirmation and a successful local save. Unavailable, interrupted or unconfirmed ads do not grant slots. No slots are automatically granted for an ad outage. Capacity and reward records are stored locally and are not an account-based purchase or cloud entitlement.
Local data and availability
Books, reading progress, vocabulary, preferences and reward records are stored on your device. BookClue does not provide an account or account-based cloud synchronization. Removing books, resetting app data, uninstalling or device failure can cause loss of local data; reset also removes local reward records. Keep copies of important EPUBs. Some features require network access, updated app/OS versions or external services and may change or become unavailable. The Privacy Policy explains off-device collection and provider-held records.
Disclaimers and your rights
To the extent allowed by law, BookClue is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, exact translations or compatibility with every device or file. The operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses or lost data to the extent law permits that limitation. Nothing limits liability, statutory warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Changes and contact
We may update the app or these terms as features and requirements change. The revision date appears above; we will provide notice or request consent where required by law. You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Questions and support requests can be sent to support@bookclue.com.
